MULTI-COLOR PROOF COIN







 In 2013 St. Helena introduced two series of multi-colored wildlife coins.  Each series consists of four gold-plated multi-color coins.  The coins depict multi-color images native species.  The bird series features the birds above a mountain peak, with a green forest below. Depicted is the endangered Wirebird, Red-billed Tropic bird, Masked Booby and the Madeiran Storm Petrel.  The sea life series features the blue sky and a fishing boat. Depicted is the Napoleon Fish, Sea turtle, Flounder and Cod fish. Queen Elizabeth is on the obverse of each coin.

CROWN SIZE COIN
The tiny British possession of St. Helena issued this 38.6mm copper-nickel 25 Pence coin in 1973 to honor its 300th  Anniversary of continuous British rule.  It is one of Britain’s oldest colonies. One side of the coin depicts a sailing ship with the dates 1673 1973 and the legend “ST. HELENA TERCENTENARY”.  The other side portrays Queen Elizabeth.  It was the first coin issued for St. Helena since 1821 and has a mintage of just 100,000 pieces
