SILVER COIN

In 1871 Otto Von Bismark united the numerous German States forming the German Empire.  This silver Half Mark of the German Empire features the Imperial German Eagle on one side and the denomination on the other.   It was issued from 1905 until 1919, when Germany was defeated in World War I.  The 20mm coin is struck in .900 fine silver and contains .08 troy oz. of silver.
